Getting Started
Pathlys is a community-driven travel route discovery platform where travelers can discover, create, and share detailed travel routes. Our platform connects travel enthusiasts and helps you plan your next adventure with real experiences from fellow travelers.
Simply create a free account by clicking "Sign Up" in the top navigation. You can register with your email or use social login options like Google, Twitter, or LinkedIn. Once registered, you can start browsing routes, following other travelers, and submitting your own travel experiences.
Yes! Our basic service is completely free. You can browse routes, create your own routes, follow other travelers, and access all core features without any cost.
Creating and Submitting Routes
Click the "Submit Route" button in the navigation (you need to be logged in). Fill out the comprehensive route form with details like title, description, budget, difficulty level, travel dates, and daily itinerary. Add photos and specify your travel preferences. Routes go through a quality review process before being published.
Required information includes: route title, description, budget estimate, difficulty level, travel dates, starting and ending locations, and at least one cover image. Optional details include daily itinerary, travel vehicle, special requirements, and additional photos.
Routes with high-quality content (detailed descriptions, good photos, complete information) are often auto-approved immediately. Other routes are reviewed by our team within 24-48 hours. You'll receive an email notification once your route is approved or if any changes are needed.
Yes! You can edit your published routes anytime from your dashboard. Go to "My Routes" in your dashboard to view and edit your submitted routes. Changes are saved immediately and don't require re-approval.
High-quality routes include: detailed descriptions (100+ words), clear cover photos, complete daily itineraries, accurate budget estimates, specific locations, and helpful travel tips. Routes with comprehensive information are more likely to be auto-approved.
User Profiles and Social Features
After signing up, go to your dashboard and click "Edit Profile" to add your name, bio, location, website, and profile picture. A complete profile helps other travelers connect with you and builds trust in the community.
You can follow other travelers to see their latest routes in your feed. Click the "Follow" button on any user's profile. You'll receive notifications when they publish new routes, and they'll see your activity too.
Yes! In your dashboard, you can view your followers and the people you're following. This helps you discover new travelers and build your network.
Click the bell icon in the top navigation to view all your notifications. You can mark them as read, and customize your notification preferences in your dashboard settings.
Discovering Routes and Destinations
Use the search bar to find routes by destination, or browse by categories like "Adventure," "Cultural," "Relaxation," or "Food & Culinary." You can also filter by difficulty level, budget range, and travel dates.
Destinations are places (cities, countries, regions) with general information and multiple route options. Routes are specific travel itineraries with detailed day-by-day plans, budgets, and personal experiences.
Click the heart icon on any route to like it. Liked routes appear in your dashboard under "Liked Routes." You can also share routes with friends using the share button.
Yes! Scroll down on any route page to find the comments section. You can ask questions, share your own experiences, or provide helpful tips to other travelers.
Analytics and Dashboard
In your dashboard, you can see views, likes, comments, and shares for each of your routes. This helps you understand which content resonates most with the community.
Your dashboard shows your total routes submitted, total likes received, followers count, and other engagement metrics. This gives you insight into your impact on the travel community.
Yes! Your dashboard analytics show your top-performing routes based on views, likes, and engagement. This helps you understand what type of content the community values most.
Safety and Community Guidelines
All routes go through a review process where we check for accuracy, completeness, and safety. We also have community guidelines and reporting systems to maintain high standards.
Use the "Report" button on any route or user profile to flag inappropriate content. Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action.
While we review all routes for quality, we recommend cross-referencing information with official sources, especially for safety-critical details like visa requirements, health advisories, and transportation schedules.
Technical Support
When creating a route, use the image upload section to add a cover photo (required) and additional photos (optional). Supported formats include JPG, PNG, and WebP. Images are automatically optimized for web viewing.
Yes! Pathlys is fully responsive and works great on smartphones and tablets. You can browse routes, create new ones, and manage your profile from any device.
Click "Forgot Password" on the sign-in page and enter your email address. You'll receive a secure link to reset your password.
Contact our support team through the contact form, and we'll help you delete your account and remove your data from our platform.
